City Auctions

ONSITE AND ON-LINE AUCTIONS

The City of Richardson contracts with Rene Bates Auctioneers, Inc. to dispose of surplus city property and police confiscated property. As items are gathered and storage space is depleted, public auctions are scheduled to sell city surplus and confiscated items. Funds received from these sales are deposited back into the general fund.

Rene Bates Auctioneers, Inc. provides onsite and on-line auctions at the city's request. All The City of Richardson auction dates will either be posted on their website at www.renebates.com or on this website. Most onsite auctions are held at the City of Richardson Service Center complex located at 1260 Columbia Drive, Richardson, Texas 75081. All items sold at city auctions are sold "AS IS, WHERE IS" without warranty expressed or implied. The City reserves the right to withdraw this offer or any individual item offered at any time or for any reason prior to or after auction.

IMPOUND VEHICLE AUCTIONS

The City of Richardson no longer operates its own auto pound as we contract with Signature Towing to provide these services. Signature Towing schedules public auctions for impounded vehicles on the first Wednesday of each month. They are located at 1204 Municipal Drive, Plano, Texas 75074, and may be contacted at www.signaturetowing.com or 972-423-4010.

REVERSE AUCTIONS

The City of Richardson will occasionally have reverse auctions on various supplies and materials. All reverse auctions will be held on the BidSync.com website. For more information, please go to www.bidsync.com.

AUCTION SCHEDULES

The City schedules with Rene Bates Auctioneers at least three on-line auctions per year in November, February, and June.  If we have special items to be auctioned such as a fire truck or ambulance, we will schedule it for auction as the vehicle/equipment becomes available.  All notices of pending auctions will be posted on this website and on www.renebates.com.
